Hiring process

A hiring process built by engineers, for engineers. The PlayOffs: a half-day of pair programming with three Sfeirians, where you assess us as much as we assess you.

A mutual discovery, not an exam

Our process is a two-way discovery: you leave knowing exactly what you are signing up for. We look for curious, demanding engineers who want to grow fast in a craft that keeps reinventing itself. It starts with a genuine conversation with our Talent Advocate team — what drives you, what you build, and what you want to build next — and what makes the SFEIR DNA.

The PlayOffs

The core of the process is a half-day on-site with three Sfeirians, pair programming on real topics. It matters because you experience our culture from the inside and decide whether we are the right place for you, and because we assess your reasoning and the way you collaborate and unblock situations — far beyond what a CV can say.

AI is part of the game. A dedicated exercise is built into the PlayOffs: we watch how you prompt, how you delegate to coding agents, and how you keep a critical eye on what they produce. New to these tools? No problem — we adapt to your level of GenAI maturity. What counts is your curiosity and your potential. On AI as on everything else, you will progress quickly here, surrounded by a community that practises it daily.

What we assess

  • Knowledge — Solid algorithmic skills, command of programming languages, and familiarity with a development platform.
  • Leadership — The ability to rally a team, a client, an ecosystem — to drive collective success, even without a formal title.
  • Potential — Adaptability, critical thinking, and solving problems with no ready-made answer. Potential counts more than diplomas.
  • Sfeiricity — Competent, sharing, passionate about progress, respectful and humble. The SFEIR DNA.

Step by step

  • Talent Advocate interview (Video · 45 min) — A first conversation to understand your background, your motivations and your ambitions. No traps — just a real exchange.
  • The PlayOffs (On-site · half a day) — Three pair-programming sessions with SFEIR experts. Technical discussion, real-world exercises, open conversation. You assess as much as you are assessed.
  • Offer (Go!) — Validation by your peers for a long-term commitment. Welcome to SFEIR.
