20+ years of innovation

From Java to AI Only, SFEIR has never stopped reinventing itself to stay at the cutting edge of software engineering. What began as a software services firm in 1985 became an early Google cloud partner, then a data and AI specialist, and today an AI Only consultancy pursuing the 10x strategy. Twenty years of organic growth — no acquisitions — have preserved a single, unbroken engineering culture.

Milestones

• 1985 — SFEIR is founded.
• 2000 — The Luxembourg office opens — the first European presence outside France.
• 2007 — SFEIR is taken over and pivots toward the cloud and Google technologies.
• 2008 — SFEIR becomes one of the first Google partners in France. The cloud journey begins.
• 2012 — The Strasbourg office opens; a Cloud First strategy is adopted.
• 2014 — The Lille office opens, anchoring SFEIR in the Hauts-de-France retail ecosystem.
• 2017 — Data Engineering and Machine Learning practices are created — the first AI industrialisation projects.
• 2018 — The Nantes and Bordeaux offices open, expanding along the Atlantic coast.
• 2021 — WEnvision launches as the strategic advisory and transformation entity.
• 2023 — RAISE launches for industrial AI.
• 2024 — The AI Only strategy is adopted: every consultant AI-augmented by the end of 2026.
• 2025 — Agentic coding: Software Factory 10x and the Agentic Conversational Enterprise.
• 2026 — The 10x era: compound engineering, sandwich teams and autonomous agents.
